Session announces major upgrade, (re)introducing port forward secrecy and post-quantum encryption
Session is addressing critical feedback from the privacy community with its newly announced V2 Protocol. The decentralized messenger had previously faced scrutiny after removing Perfect Forward Secrecy in 2021 due to technical challenges. This upcoming update officially brings that feature back. Perfect Forward Secrecy rotates encryption keys frequently so that compromising a device does not expose past message history.
